No, this it not a post that will be chanting “U-S-A! U-S-A!” nor is it one that will discuss all of the great things that this country has to offer because, to be honest, that would be too long of a post. The United States, as you know, is a huge country. Not only is it large geographically, where it has everything from islands and deserts to snow capped mountains and freezing temperatures, but also it has one of the most diverse populations in the world. Depending on what state you are in the food, language, laws and opinions could be drastically different. We are, as we say, a “melting pot” where people from all over the planet try and live together and that has required us to combine the whole wide world into one country. It has its challenges but it is also what makes this country awesome.
So, what it’s actually like to live here? Well, some things are true when it comes to the stereotypes. Americans like to work especially because we like money and buying things even more. We are always looking for a deal and for purchasing the next bigger and better thing. Also true to the stereotype, we love food. Yes, most eat too much and our portion sizes are out of control but we love tasty dishes. So that’s what my posts are mainly going to be about from the US: what people love to do here and what we love to eat.
To say that I have seen a lot of this country would be a lie. In fact I have traveled more throughout Spain than I have my own country and I think it would take the rest of my life to see everything that the United States has to offer. But with the following posts on my blog I will try to showcase the great things that people from here love. God Bless America.
